Introduction
The Carbon Steel Tube is a hollow cylindrical steel product made mainly of carbon steel, the main alloying element of which is carbon. They are widely used in structural, mechanical and industrial fields.
Features
Precise size control
Our products can be precisely manufactured according to different standards, such as ASTM, DIN, JIS, etc., with precise dimensions and uniform wall thickness.
Diverse manufacturing process options
Including seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes, flexible to adapt to different pressure and precision requirements, ensuring safe and reliable use.
Customizable
The Carbon Steel Tube support customized length, diameter, wall thickness, interface processing (flat, bevel, thread), and can also be added with anti-corrosion coating or galvanizing.
ASTM A501 Grade B Square and Rectangular Tubing is furnished in sizes:
Square Tubing: OD: 1" x 1" - 32" x 32" x Thk.: 0.100" - 3.000" (25 x 25mm - 800 x 800mm x Thickness: 2.5 - 75 mm)
Rectangular Tubing: OD: 1" x 1.5" - 22" x 32" x Thk.: 0.100" - 3.000" (25 x 38mm - 500 x 800mm x Thickness: 2.5 - 75mm)
ASTM A501 Round Tubing is furnished in size:
OD: NPS 1/2" - NPS 24" (DN15 - DN 600 or 21.3 - 609.6mm) x Thickness: 0.109" to 1.000". (2.8 to 25.4 mm), dependent upon size.
Special Shape Tubing and tubing with other dimensions is permitted to be furnished, provided that such tubing complies with all other requirements of this specification.
NOTE: The dimensionless designator NPS [DN] (nominal pipe size) has been substituted in this standard for such traditional terms as "nominal diameter," "size," and "nominal size."
Applications
Building and Structural Engineering
Carbon steel pipes are widely used in load-bearing columns, stair handrails, scaffolding and structural reinforcements for building construction, bridges, factories, municipal engineering and other projects.
Petroleum, Natural Gas and Chemical Pipelines
In the energy industry, carbon steel seamless pipes are used in oil and gas transportation, high-pressure steam systems, drilling pipelines and other scenarios to meet the requirements of high temperature, high pressure and corrosion resistance.
Automobile Manufacturing and Mechanical Equipment
Carbon steel pipes are commonly used in the automotive industry as chassis brackets, exhaust pipes, shock absorption system connectors and hydraulic pipelines.
Power and Boiler Systems
In power stations and industrial thermal energy systems, carbon steel pipes are used as boiler pipes, heat exchanger pipes, condensing systems and steam pipes.
Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering
Carbon steel pipes are used in marine engineering components such as hull structures, bulkhead supports, railing systems, etc., and can be painted with anti-rust paint or galvanized to cope with the hot and humid marine environment.

FAQ
Q: What is a carbon steel tube?
A: A carbon steel tube is a hollow, cylindrical pipe made from carbon steel, which mainly contains iron and carbon. It provides strong mechanical properties suitable for structural and industrial uses.
Q: What types of carbon steel tubes are available?
A: There are two main types: seamless tubes, which are made without welding and offer higher strength, and welded tubes, made by rolling and welding steel sheets, which are more cost-effective.
Q: What are the common applications of carbon steel tubes?
A: They are used in construction, automotive manufacturing, machinery, pipelines, scaffolding, furniture frames, and many mechanical engineering projects.
Q: How does carbon content affect the properties of carbon steel tubes?
A: Higher carbon content increases strength and hardness but reduces ductility and weldability. Low to medium carbon steel tubes balance strength and workability.
Q: What are the benefits of using carbon steel tubes?
A: They offer high strength, good durability, cost efficiency, ease of fabrication, and suitability for welding, making them ideal for many industrial applications.
